HOMECHARGING FAQS

The Lexus HomeCharge is a smart home charger that works seamlessly with your Lexus vehicle & LexusLink+ app.

Any Battery Electric or Plug-in Hybrid car with a standard Type 2 charging port can use Lexus HomeCharge. Note that some LexusLink+ app features depend on which car is being charged, and the LexusLink+ app is not compatible with non-Lexus cars.

HomeCharge makes charging your Lexus simple and convenient. The sleek charger is fully integrated with your car via the Lexus Link+ app, putting you in control at all times.

It allows you to do everything you would expect from a connected charger, including managing users, remote charging and tracking your charging sessions. Additionally, it allows you to smart charge: target a specific vehicle state of charge, set a charging schedule dynamically** following the daily energy tariffs of your location or schedule charging for off-peak hours, allowing you to reduce your energy costs.

Lexus HomeCharge is offered in multiple variants to meet your needs, whether you require single-phase or three-phase, and with or without a 4G connection.

A tethered charger has a built-in charging cable, whereas an untethered charger uses a separate charging cable. Lexus customers can benefit from both the tethered and the untethered charger according to their needs.

The charging time will depend on your vehicle make and model. Please refer to its individual specification.

Yes! It is entirely safe to charge your vehicle in the rain.
